After months of prep and reorganizing, I am so excited to begin publishing lessons exclusively here on Patreon starting November 1st! This will give me the opportunity to regularly keep in contact with you and follow your progress, as well as continuing you to give you amazing lessons on other topics such as:
-Course Introduction What brought me from random blogger to successful podcaster, and eventually an Amazon bestselling author? My story might shock you a bit, and my journey will certainly make you ask "how did this happen?" So I'll take a few minutes to fill you in on that crazy tale while also explaining what you can expect out of this course. 1. Join and Lead the Conversation You're Already Having! (Podcast, Blog, Worksheet) What are you so passionate about that you just want to leap from the audience and onto the stage? Let's narrow down what you are passionate about and why you want to lead the conversation you are already joined in on. 2. Putting Together Your Backpack (Blog, Worksheet) What do you think are your limitations to getting started? What resources do you have at your disposal already. This lesson is all about assessing your "social environment" and "putting together your backpack." 3. Maximizing Your Existing Networks and Widening Your Existing Circle (Blog, Worksheet) What separates acquaintances from friends and friends from resources? How do you find the people who will help take you places without seeming creepy or bothersome? 4. Creating Your Social Media Fortress (Podcast, Worksheet) To Facebook or not to Facebook? Finding the platforms to double down on and the platforms to grow on. 5. Finding Your Medium (Podcast) Some of us have a face for radio, so let's find the medium best for you. 6. Finding Reputable Platforms (Podcast) Alternative media and mainstream media are more similar than you think, and what looks like a great place to build a portfolio might be a dead end or reputation killer. 7. Reaching out to Publishers and Editors (Blog, Worksheet) First impressions matter, so lets go through the process of what you need to do in order to make your first impression rock. 8. Keeping Down Mr. Hyde (Podcast) Your biggest critic and ultimate enemy is staring you right in the mirror. Here we will discuss how to keep your ego in check, tame the "black dog" and the importance of self-care. 9. Find, Engage, and Activate Your Audience (Podcast) You can't cross the sea without a boat, and you can't be a commentator in motion without an active and engaging audience. Learn how to build a relationship with your audience that will take you places. 10. Monetizing Your Content (Podcast, Worksheet) We all do this for the love of doing so, but money is awesome too, let's learn how to make it and make it consistently. 11. Keep Reading or Die (Podcast, Worksheet) "If you stop reading you die" New York Times bestselling author Pat Robertson once said. Learn the importance of developing a scholar's mindset. 12. The Importance of Finding a Mentor (Podcast) You have potential, now take the journey you were meant to! I have always wanted to become a book publisher. I think that the biggest reason for this was my love for books. There are a handful of things that I want to keep doing in my life, one of them is reading books. To be honest, I believe that there is no better thing than to read a book. I prefer reading books than to communicate with people. I just really hate socializing with people that would eventually hurt me.
